African Black Soap is DAKIMO's traditional hot-process soap saponified with baobab pod ash lye — a traditional West African technique — combining coconut and baobab oils with activated charcoal (~10%) as the active ingredient. No added fragrance. DAKIMO's recipe uses baobab pod ash specifically (rather than the cocoa-pod-ash or plantain-ash versions common in the literature), which also means it is not in scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Extract from batch DAK-SABS-2608-001 (COA Ref: DKM-COA-SOAP003) — issued 29/08/2026. Full COA available on request.
