Certifications & Compliance

Documentation Every Buyer Can Rely On

Dakimo doesn't yet hold third-party certifications such as organic, Fair Trade or ISO. What we do provide, on every single order, is full technical documentation and a regulatory dossier built for each of our export markets — so you know exactly what you're buying and what's required to bring it to market.

Every Shipment

What Ships With Every Order

Technical Data Sheet (TDS)

INCI composition, indicative physicochemical specifications, intended use, HS code and — where relevant — fatty acid profile, for every raw material and finished product in our catalogue.

Certificate of Analysis (COA)

A batch-specific document with the real batch number, manufacturing date and actual lab results for the exact lot shipped to you — not generic values, tied to the physical goods you receive.

Regulatory Notes by Market

A summary of what applies in the EU, UK, US and Canada for the product category — so your regulatory or compliance team knows exactly what's needed before it reaches your market.

Regulatory

Compliance by Export Market

Our TDS and COA dossiers are structured against each market's cosmetics framework. As with any raw material or B2B finished-product supplier, the buyer or importer remains the Responsible Person / filer of record in the destination market — we provide the technical basis for that filing.

European Union

Dossiers structured against Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. CPNP notification, a Responsible Person, and the Product Information File (PIF) / Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) remain the importer's responsibility for the finished product.

United Kingdom

Equivalent regulatory notes provided for UK Cosmetics Regulation. A UK Responsible Person and SCPN notification apply to the finished product, not the raw shipment itself.

United States

Dossiers reference the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA). Facility registration and safety substantiation obligations apply to the Responsible Person/importer of the finished product.

Canada

Notes reference Health Canada's Cosmetic Notification (CNF, within 10 days of first sale) and mandatory bilingual (English/French) labelling for the finished product.

Standards We Hold Ourselves To

Product & Sourcing Standards

These are practices we follow today, ahead of any formal third-party certification.

Not Tested on Animals

Dakimo products are not tested on animals.

Non-GMO Declared

Our ingredients are declared as Non-GMO.

Traceable Palm Oil

We avoid palm oil of unknown origin across our catalogue.

Single Country of Origin

Every ingredient is grown, harvested and processed in Benin, West Africa.

Community Sourcing

Raw material is collected through our Boifo workshop with women's cooperatives near Benin's W National Park.

Traditional, Low-Impact Processing

Cold-pressing, shade-drying and mortar-grinding — no solvent extraction, preserving both the ingredient and traditional know-how.

Working Toward

We are evaluating formal third-party certification (organic, Fair Trade and similar schemes) for future harvests as our export volumes grow. If your program requires a specific certification to place an order, tell us when you request a quote — we'll let you know honestly whether we can meet it today or what our timeline looks like.
